Wrexham announced the signatures of former British strikers, Jay Rodríguez and Sam Smith, and sources said ESPN was a club record.
The 35 -year -old Rodríguez joined Wrexham in Burnley after suffering medical care on Friday. He won the only England cap in 2013.
Smith arrived at Reading by Friday Wrexham, and sources told ESPN that the contract was a comfortably transfer club record and broke the barrier of £ 1 million (1.2m). Smith signed a three and a half years of contract.
Smith said, “I am happy to be a member of the journey and I want to help the club achieve ambition.”
Phil Parkinson added: “SAM is the player we have been pursuing for a while.
“He’s a really good striker for the last few seasons, and he’s a good age.”
