Apple unveiled a new Black Unity collection to celebrate the Black History Month today and celebrated the black culture and community. Inspired by the rhythm of humanity, the collection includes the special edition Apple Watch Black Unity Sport Loop, Matching Clock Face, iPhone and iPad Wallpaper.
As part of its launch, Apple supports several global organizations that focus on rhythms, creativity and elements of community. This includes subsidies for New Orleans’ Ellis Mar Salis Music Center. London’s Battersea Arts Center; Los Angeles’ Music Forward Foundation; Sydney’s New South Wales Art Gallery; And African American Music Museum in Nashville, Tennessee. Apple’s support for these organizations is based on the company’s long efforts to develop economic, education and creative opportunities in the community around the world.
Apple’s BLACK Creatives and Allies has collaborated on the design of the new collection. Collection, Unity rhythm squeezes the color of the Pan-african flag together: black, green and red. The Black Unity Sport loop generates a lens -type effect, indicating green on one side of each loop and red on the other side. When the band is worn, the color that moves from green to red when the user moves the wrist appears dynamically. It’s as if it is as if it is as if it is as if it is as if it is as if it is as if it is as if it is as if it is a conversion.
