Fans have been calling for a generational leap for Bloodborne for a long time.
Every time PlayStation announces a new State of Play showcase, there’s usually continued demand for improved versions of PS4 classics. Bloodborne. The original game is great in its own right, but fans have long wanted a graphical update, if not a sequel, to enhance the dark, grungy hallways and smooth, intense combat. This is a modern FromSoftware classic and definitely deserves another spotlight.
But according to PlayStation veteran Shuhei Yoshida, there are clear obstacles. Bloodborne Improved or new for PS5. Game director Hidetaka Miyazaki is so popular. Speaking to Kinda Funny in his first interview since the PlayStation’s launch, Yoshida spoke openly about his personal theories about the PlayStation. BloodborneHis absence based on his experience.
“Bloodborne It’s always been the most requested thing and people wonder why we haven’t actually done anything about it. Updates, remakes, and remasters are not easy. We are known to do a lot of remaster work,” Yoshida said. “Some people feel frustrated.”
“I only have a personal theory about the situation. Since I left the first party, I don’t know what’s going on. But my theory is because I remember Miyazaki really loved it. BloodborneAnd what he created. I think he’s interested (next time). Bloodborne Revival) But he is very successful and busy. So he can’t do it himself, but he doesn’t want anyone else to touch it.”
As Yoshida makes clear, this is his own personal assessment of the situation, but given his personal experience working at PlayStation, his opinion carries a lot of weight. And there’s certainly an element of truth to the fact that Miyazaki has become incredibly busy since launch. Bloodborne.
He most recently served as a director. Elden Ringhas become one of the most popular and loved games of 2022. The game won a cabinet’s worth of awards, including several ‘Game of the Year’ awards, and significantly raised FromSoftware’s profile. FromSoftware capitalized on the game’s success by announcing: Elden Ring DLC Edtree’s Shadow Shortly thereafter and later in 2024, the company also announced a multiplayer spinoff. Elden Ring Nightlane.
It’s safe to say that these games have kept FromSoftware incredibly busy over the past few years. Elden RingThe company is likely to move forward, supporting modern wins rather than focusing on the past.
Revisiting in the era of remakes and remasters Bloodborne There’s no question about it, but as Yoshida said, Hidetaka Miyakaji is an incredibly busy man. Bloodborne It’s likely to be an adventure that requires his eye and judgment, so it’s hard to see how a new title (of any kind) will garner the attention it deserves.
