Maybe Henry’s stiff arm against Minkah Fitzpatrick still leaves him a champion, but Dallas Goedert made three good plays on his way to the end zone Sunday.
The Philadelphia Eagles’ tight end had something happen as the team’s offense struggled. He made a nice catch on a pass from behind and then drained the soul of Green Bay Packers cornerback Carrington Valentine.
Goedert initiated contact that included one small stiff-arm, then shoved Valentine twice more and punched him in the face en route to a 24-yard touchdown. It’s sure to become a meme.
The Eagles needed something like that. They haven’t scored a single touchdown since the start of the game. But when Goedert had the chance to change things, he wouldn’t be denied, to Valentine’s detriment.
