Blizzard developers are back from their vacation with some news for all Diablo 4 players interested in hearing more about the game’s next season. Season 7 begins on January 21st, the day Season 6 ends. Now it’s time for the team to come back together and put something out there.
A more official developer update is coming again next week, giving us one last look at Season 7’s new content before it arrives next week.

A Diablo 4 developer update is scheduled for January. Thursday, January 16 to 11:00 AM Pacific Time, 2:00 PM ET, 7:00 PM (UK). The main point of this content is to preview all the remaining details about the upcoming Season 7, including the new Season questline.
You’ll recall that Blizzard revealed almost every detail about Season 7 in a live stream ahead of the proper PTR in December. Season 7 will also be released alongside Patch 2.1, which is significant enough to warrant its own testing environment.
Becoming a witch and using her powers is the main theme of this one, but Blizzard had to mess with it in advance because of the way the new mechanics intersect with existing gameplay.
In addition to new gems, magical powers, and a new questline/faction grind, Season 7 brings some big changes to general gameplay. Ultimate abilities are improving across the board, and you’ll finally be able to save loadouts for all your characters.
It’s unclear which members of the development team will be attending this developer update, but the Q&A at the end of the show will indeed return. I also think there may be a few things we don’t know about season 7 yet, which I hope will be fixed in this live stream as well.
