New Delhi: India’s emerging seam bowling all-rounder has returned from a successful Test tour of Australia. Nitish Kumar Reddy received an enthusiastic welcome. Visakhapatnam Airport On Thursday.
At the airport exit, supporters showered yellow petals and welcomed Nitish with large yellow garlands, and photographers gathered to capture the moment.
Nitish, a resident of Gajwuaka in Visakhapatnam, sat in the front seat of the open jeep with his father Mutyalu in the back seat, while fans gathered nearby to catch a glimpse of the local sports hero.
His performance in the series is amazing. In five matches, he scored 298 runs at an average of 37.25, making him India’s second highest scorer.
His maiden Test century in 114 melbourne cricket ground (MCG) was particularly special as he was witnessed at the famous venue by his father Mutyalu Reddy, mother Manasa, sister Tejaswi and uncle Surendra.
His bowling contributions included five wickets in 44 overs, with his best figures being 2-32. His calm demeanor and overall performance during his first Test tour of Australia earned him appreciation from cricket veterans in both countries and predicted his long-term presence in the Indian international team.
