Jim Carrey is set to reprise his role as mustachioed, bald villain Dr Robotnik in Sonic 3, and has already offered to at least consider the idea of returning for a future Sonic movie (e.g. Sonic 4). The idea is that whatever the content “sounds interesting.”
This comes after Carrey basically said on the red carpet that he was back after coming out of retirement to do Sonic 3. This is after previously joking: “If only the angels would bring me a script written in gold ink, some kind of script that says it will happen.” “What’s really important in people’s eyes” is what’s needed to seduce him, because he “bought a lot of stuff and frankly needed the money.”

In an interview with Japanese YouTube channel Cinema Today, when asked about the possibility of appearing in more Sonic movies in the future, Carrey said: If you take the next idea and say, ‘This sounds fun,’ you won’t get caught up in anything in life unless it’s something you’re interested in.
“I definitely love this crew, I love this gang that makes this movie, and I love the fans. There’s just so much energy around it, and it’s been such a great response, and the fans are jumping in and saying, ‘What if we do this?’ ?’ “They were very helpful, and I think we all made this movie together.”
As the video begins, Carrey also puts on a pretty good face as he says he’s “holding power between projects.” I wouldn’t say it’s quite up to the level of his Grinch face, based on my official rankings of good faces, but it’s a solid effort and comes with some fun noises, too. 8/10.
See, if nothing else, it’s a distraction that means you don’t have to re-read parts of Carrey’s Wikipedia page about his views on vaccines from a few years ago and back when he was doing NFTs.
Anyway, in recent Sonic the Hedgehog 3 related news, writers Pat Casey and Josh Miller discussed what other games they’d like to see adapted from late last year.
