There’s no denying that Margaret Qualley has already had a really interesting career when it comes to movie roles.
It could be argued that her centre-left choices have contributed significantly to her success. substanceIt’s one of the most talked-about movies of the year and is likely to draw a lot of attention come awards season.
So it was a bit surprising when, in a recent interview with Vogue Australia, Margaret revealed that she wanted to take a break from making such choices in her career.
“I think I’ve seen a lot of obscure, artistic films,” she said. “And those aren’t really the movies I want to see. And I think I want to be a part of the work that I want to see.”
“I want to do a movie where I don’t have to die until the end. The standards are low. I’m thirsty for a romantic comedy. I’m appearing in it.”
Margaret also specified that she is “grateful” for her overall career trajectory thus far. “It’s really exciting when something becomes part of the culture,” she said.
“I think that’s what most artists try to do: invest enough of themselves in something that feels somewhat universal.”
I mean, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with trying to change things up a little bit. What do you think about Margaret’s comments? Please pour out your courage in the comments.
