It’s the most wonderful time of the year Timothy Simmons … Because the holidays are a time to get together with family and talk about the incestuous coffee commercials he infamously worked on.
We met Timothy at LAX and our photographer asked him about the 2009 Folgers Christmas ad known as the Folgers Incest Ad.
Timothy said he directed some of the auditions for the commercial, which shows the siblings being very flirtatious when he returns home for Christmas.
Many people get the feeling that the siblings in the commercial want to hit it off. And Timothy says he can see why it was important to most people, even though the cast and crew didn’t get that vibe on set.
Timothy said he got this gig when he was just getting his footing in Hollywood, long before he appeared in “Veep” and “Don’t Worry Darling.”
The Folgers incest advertisement has sparked oral histories and even has its own Wikipedia page. Timothy says people always come back to the ad come December… and he gives his thoughts on whether the ad is worth running again.
