Grant Williams dove over the tryline just before the death as the Springboks secured a record third successive win over the All Blacks at a sold-out Ellis Park.
Late tries from Williams and Kwagga Smith helped the Springboks overcome a 10-point deficit and beat their rivals 31-27.
It was South Africa’s third successive victory over New Zealand, equaling the streak set by the 2009 world champions.
