Even though it was released two weeks ago, we have no idea how well Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is doing. Despite being a great game (I loved it, as you can tell from my review), the Steam numbers seemed to suggest modest sales, with a peak concurrent player count of only 12,138. However, the number of concurrent users per day is maintained at around 6,000 to 8,000.
Even without official confirmation, insiders are claiming that at least one more game is already in the works.
It seems like there are more and more indie games 🙌

This comes through the words of Daniel Richtman, a man who typically focuses more on film and TV but occasionally ventures into the gaming realm, particularly with IPs like Indiana Jones that span multiple media types.
“Looks like we’re getting more indie games,” he simply tweeted. There’s likely more information on the Patreon page where users are encouraged to pay. His latest Patreon post, which he tweeted shortly after talking about Indiana Jones, talks about a Disney update, so it may contain some relevant information.
Unfortunately, Daniel’s Patreon page is also the reason his reputation isn’t bulletproof. Over the years, he’s been accused of trying to drive traffic to Patreon. He’s certainly received a few false claims, but that’s not uncommon in his line of work, and of course things can always change behind the scenes, so insider information can appear false even when it isn’t.

But in this case, Daniel has backup. Windows Central’s Jez Corden, a fairly reliable source, responded, “It’s true,” with a GIF of Dwight Schrute from The Office attached. Of course, Jez might just be messing around and having a good time.
We should also consider that Daniel’s tweet may not infer a direct sequel to MachineGames’ Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. It’s possible that other Indiana Jones projects are in the works at other studios, whether they’re remakes of previous titles or entirely new games.
What do you think? Has Indiana Jones done well enough that a sequel has already been greenlit? Perhaps the deal with Disney was for multiple games?
