As we previously reported, Blake Lively filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against her. ends with us Co-star and director Justin Baldoni.
Rumors of hostility on the set of the Colin Hoover adaptation circulated constantly in the run-up to the film’s release.
And now Blake is claiming the situation was even worse than previously reported.
Suspected smear campaign
Among Lively’s claims is that Baldoni hired a PR firm to organize a “smear campaign” aimed at destroying her career and reputation.
The company Baldoni reportedly hired to smear Blake is the same one that Depp worked with during his defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard.
And now Heard is speaking out about the similarities between her experience and what Lively is going through now.
Amber’s Experience
“Social media is the absolute personification of the classic adage, ‘A lie travels halfway around the world before the truth begins,’” Heard wrote in a statement to NBC News on Monday.
“I saw this up close and personal. “It’s as terrible as it is devastating.”
Depp won his case against Heard, and the 2022 trial has devolved into the biggest media circus of the year.
Currently, Amber is living a quiet life in Spain, away from the spotlight for some time. She announced earlier this month that she is currently pregnant with her second child.
For Blake and Justin, the next chapter of this feud promises to be the messiest yet.
Lively claims Baldoni worked with her crisis management team during the film’s promotional campaign to “help change the narrative” about the feud, which was started through “social manipulation.”
Over the weekend, Baldoni issued a statement calling the actress’ submission “shameful” and “categorically false” (see page 6).
Needless to say, both sides appear to be preparing for an intense legal battle, and it seems unlikely that a quiet, out-of-court settlement will be reached.
We will provide further updates on this developing story as new information becomes available.
