Vodacom Bulls picked up their first win over Connacht in Galway on Saturday, making it five wins from six Vodacom URC games in 2024-25.
The Bulls, who led 14-0 at half-time, scored two tries either side of the break to secure a bonus-point 28-14 win at The Sportsground.
The competition resumed in Round 7 after a four-week break, with the Bulls sitting high in the opening round with four wins from five.
First-half tries from left winger Sebastian de Klerk and scrumhalf Embrose Papier and two conversions from flyhalf Johan Goosen put the pack in front at the break in Galway.

Outside center David Kriel and right winger Canan Moodie extended the visitors’ advantage from the kick tee as Goosen crossed the whitewash after the restart.
David Hawkshaw and fellow substitute Caolin Blade dotted for the home side to add some respectability to the scoreline.
Connacht No 8 Sean Jansen saw red for a high shoulder from Bulls skipper Marcell Coetzee in the opening 40 minutes, while counterpart Mpilo Gumede was given his marching orders in the second half after dangerous contact with the Hawkshaw’s eye.
The Bulls will now turn their focus to the Champions Cup. Jake White’s attack here opens its campaign against three-time champions Saracens in north London next Saturday.
