Vice President Harris’ debt-ridden presidential campaign spent $2.6 million on private planes in the final weeks of the election season, documents show.
The findings come as the debt-burdened campaign, which spent $1 billion on the trail, is being scrutinized for financial decisions it made before President-elect Trump lost the Nov. 5 election. The campaign is estimated to be $20 million in debt.
The eyebrow-raising costs are listed in Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings obtained by Fox News Digital. During the month of October, the Harris campaign spent $2,626,110 on private flights, according to FEC filings.
Costs ranged from $3,500 to $940,000 per expenditure, with $2.2 million going to a company called Private Jet Services Group and $430,000 to charter flight broker Advanced Aviation Team.

In September, campaign staffers spent $3.1 million on private flights, bringing total flight-related expenses to more than $10 million since July.
Spending is just a few of the many financial decisions the campaign has been scrutinizing. For example, Harris’ team paid Oprah Winfrey’s production company $1 million after the TV star spoke at a rally on Oct. 15.
Harris employees also donated $4 million to Village Marketing Agency, a company that connects customers with social media influencers. Additionally, FEC records show the campaign spent at least $15 million on “event production.”

The campaign’s use of private jets has been criticized in recent weeks on financial and environmental grounds. Private jets emit more greenhouse gases per passenger than commercial airliners, Harris has previously said. climate change It was an ‘existential threat’.
“There’s no question that we have to be pragmatic, but being pragmatic also means recognizing that climate change is an existential threat to us as humans,” Harris told CNN in 2019. He said in an interview with CNN. And it’s within our power as human beings to change our behavior in ways that can lessen the impact.”
