A TikTok video posted by a comedian caught the attention of traveling social media users.
The user in the video said, “I arrive at the airport 6 hours and 30 minutes early.”
Other TikTok users took to the comments section to discuss the appropriate time to arrive at the airport before a flight.

“I’ve never felt so safe and understood,” one user wrote, seemingly agreeing with the video message.
Another person commented, “It comes 40 minutes before the flight.”
“I’m late for everything except the airport,” one user said.
“I’m the one who came 2-3 hours early,” said another user.

“3 hours. Check in advance. lounge. Mimosa. chill. Get on the plane. Rushing around the airport is not my thing,” said one woman.
One TikToker added, “And 3 hours ago I thought I was being too extreme.”
“One time my parents arrived so early that they made me board an earlier flight like three hours earlier,” said another.

The TikTok user who posted the video confirmed to Fox News Digital that the video was a joke.
“We recommend that travelers arrive at the checkpoint two hours in advance for domestic flights and three hours in advance for international flights,” a TSA spokesperson told Fox News Digital.
“During the holiday season, travelers have several different considerations to consider. For example, at some airports, traffic on the roads around the airport is so heavy that you have to plan extra time to travel to the airport,” the spokesperson said.

AAA estimates that 55.4 million people will travel for Thanksgiving in 2023, and 115.2 million will travel during the Christmas period.
“Families will be traveling with young children to spend holidays with other families, and so will older people. Families with children often carry a lot of carry-on items,” a TSA spokesperson said.
