President-elect Trump has officially won Arizona, avenging his 2020 election loss in the crucial swing state.
The race in Arizona was called by the Associated Press Saturday evening. Along with Arizona, Trump secured 11 more electoral votes, for a total of 312 electoral votes. His opponent, Vice President Harris, received only 226 Electoral College votes.
Trump’s selection of Arizona ended the battle for the swing state in the 2024 presidential election. In addition to Arizona, he also secured electoral votes in North Carolina, Wisconsin, Michigan, Nevada, Georgia, and Pennsylvania.
President Biden won Arizona by less than 1% in the 2020 election, and the results in key Maricopa County areas were also slim, with Biden beating Trump by 2%.
Until Biden won Arizona in 2020, Republicans had carried the state every year since 1996.

Heckler’s interruption during campaign speech leaves Harris torn apart by ‘word salad’: ‘The gibberish never ends’
Others in Arizona agreed with Harris’ message on her visit to the state that Trump represents a threat to “democracy.”
“Kamala, Kamala, Kamala!” A Tempe man named Bob told Fox News Digital. “The rich are riding a wave of tax cuts, not accountability, and the Supreme Court has been taking away the right of government agencies to regulate things. So we need to readjust that, and Kamala will do that instead. Get more federalist judges out there. Place it.”
Arizona also has a higher percentage of Hispanic voters than other states. In the last election, they preferred Biden by 19 percentage points, but showed signs of leaning toward Trump ahead of this election.
