Donald Trump attacked Liz Cheney as a “radical war hawk” on Thursday before imagining violent scenes of the former Republican lawmaker pointing a gun at her.
“Let’s set her up with a rifle with nine barrels shooting at her, okay? Let’s see how she feels about it. When the gun is trained on her face.” said the Republican candidate, who stopped by former Fox News host Tucker Carlson’s tour in Glendale, Arizona.
He added: “They are all war hawks who are sitting in their fancy buildings in Washington saying, ‘Oh, let’s send them. Let’s send 10,000 troops right into the enemy’s mouth.’”
His comments came after he cited a full pardon for Dick Cheney’s former chief of staff, I. Lewis “Scooter” Libby, who was convicted of perjury and obstruction of justice in connection with the 2007 CIA leaks scandal.
On Thursday, Trump claimed Dick Cheney called him and described Libby’s pardon in 2018 as “one of the best things I’ve ever seen in politics.”
“I don’t blame him for sticking up for his daughter, but his daughter is a very stupid individual, very stupid,” Trump said, having reportedly publicly threatened his enemies more than 100 times.
The former president recently evoked images of violence when speaking about his allies.
