Virat Kohli and Yash Dayal have been at their best for RCB with the bat and ball.
Virat Kohli was the best performer for the team, scoring 741 runs in 15 matches and also earned the purple cap. He hit one century and five half-centuries at an average of 61+ and a strike rate of 154+.
Faf du Plessis also served him well, scoring 438 runs in 15 games with a 161+ strikeout rate. In the bowling department, Yash Dayal and Mohammed Siraj were the leading wicket-takers for the team with 15 scalps. The rest of the bowlers failed to get past a total of 10 wickets.
So, much of RCB’s success last season was due to Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis in the batting section and Siraj and Dayal in the bowling section. So, they may make a lot of changes to their team during IPL Auction 2025. A completely new contingent could play under the leadership of Faf du Plessis in IPL 2025.
