During the second week, Gary Neville’s insufferable comments were highlighted during Liverpool matches, with fans quick to voice their annoyance.
Arne Slot’s side left the Emirates with a point at Arsenal for the second time, with mixed opinions on whether this was a good result or a missed opportunity.
With the majority of fans watching the match on TV, they have no choice but to watch commentary on Sky Sports in the UK.
Peter Drury and Neville took the mic on Sunday and the former Manchester United full-back once again sucked the juice out of the encounter from Liverpool’s perspective.

It’s no secret that he’s not a fan of the club, and you wouldn’t expect him to be. However, his biased comments throughout Liverpool matches became increasingly intolerable.
From random hyperbole to finger-pointing and unfair bookings (like they did to Mo Salah and Darwin Nunez against Chelsea), fans have had enough.
After Sunday’s 2-2 draw, Liverpool fans were all saying the same thing on social media.
Leaving aside the actual match itself, please make sure Gary Neville never comments on one of our games again. Especially right after United lost. The sloppy, bitter Manc tirade was so bad that I muted a football game for the first time.

Sky, leave Gary Neville out of Liverpool game. He was cheering like a Gunner when Saka scored. But when the equalizer was scored, I could barely speak. This is blatant bias and adds nothing to the program.

Gary Neville is making it almost impossible to watch the game.

Gary Neville’s comments don’t even hide how much he wants Liverpool to lose…
You have to admire it.
— Paddy Power (@paddypower) October 27, 2024
Gary Neville should not be commentating on Liverpool games.
how noble

. @Sky SportsI can’t physically handle Gary Neville on commentary for a Liverpool game. I am at my breaking point.
I feel like I’m streaming your show illegally for free and still can’t make any money.
He must have broken some rule @Ofcom Please just listen.
— Maxi (@Maxi_1892) October 27, 2024
Neville must absolutely refrain from commentating on matches. I’m sure people think the same about Carragher, but I’m really bummed right now. He’s getting worse and he’s not even trying to hide it anymore.
— LJ Biddlestone (@LJBiddlestone) October 27, 2024
Gary Neville’s views don’t matter and never will.
Please stop.
— Carl (@TheCenci) October 27, 2024
Worst sound when watching Liverpool matches on Sky
Gary is the most biased commentator and screamer Neville has ever had.
It’s something I can’t stand.
Sky why do you insist on this for all of us who pay our hard earned money for your product?
— Johnsy (@craigyjones1983) October 27, 2024
Neville is a shell of the commentator and expert who, for the first few years at least, tried to be impartial. That guy was terrible at that game.
— Ahsan Ejaz (@AhsanDEjaz) October 27, 2024
In an ideal world, the critic would come forward with a neutral point of view, but Gary Neville is so embarrassingly biased. I don’t know what’s more ridiculous, how biased Neville is or the fact that heaven always puts him in Liverpool games.
— Emily? (@emiliemarshyy) October 27, 2024
Neville cannot broadcast Liverpool matches. His bitter prejudice shines through in less than five minutes.
— BG (@TheOnlyBrianG) October 27, 2024
It took just 38 seconds for Gary Neville’s incredibly insightful commentary (bias) to come out today.
Robertson: Fouled
Neville: “He committed a foul and earned it.”?
— Ash Michelle (@ash_michell23) October 27, 2024
First, let me interrupt Neville’s commentary.
— Karl (@KarlThyer) October 27, 2024
I wasn’t a fan of Gary Neville’s playing days for obvious reasons.
To be honest, I don’t particularly dislike his writing.
But today the disappointment in his voice was evident during both of Liverpool’s goals. Former Man Utd players will never show fairness to LFC.#ARSLIV— Tracy (@trajaytol) October 27, 2024
This is not the first time this season, let alone last season, that fans have criticized Neville’s approach when commentating on Liverpool games and Sky will not be kept in the dark.
Should it change? yes. Do we expect it? no.
In other news on Monday, Neville’s United have finally made a decision. Fire Eric Ten Hag They dropped to 14th in the table after losing to West Ham last weekend.
