Early in-person voting began in Washington D.C. and Colorado on Monday.
Here’s everything you need to know to vote.
Key down-ballot races taking place in today’s early voting states
There are two hotly contested House districts across the state that began voting Friday.
- Colorado’s 3rd District: District 3 stretches across most of western Colorado. Thanks largely to its rural, working-class population (Aspen is an exception), it has remained safely Republican for over a decade. But in 2022, that race is down to 546 votes. Incumbent Lauren Boebert is moving into safer Republican territory this year, pitting the race between former Democratic challenger Adam Frisch and Republican attorney Jeff Hurd. Rankings include Lean R.
- Colorado’s 8th District: The 8th District begins in rural Weld County, which Trump won by 18 percentage points in 2020. But the further down you go, the more suburban areas there are. Strong Democratic turnout in Adams County, which Biden won by 16 points, gave Democratic Rep. Yadira Carabeo her first victory of 2022. This time, the incumbent is facing off against Republican state politician Gabe Evans. It’s a toss-up race.
