Hello readers. August 28, 2024 Welcome to the SwitchArcade recap. Wow, yesterday’s presentation sure had a lot of good content, didn’t it? The shadow game also dropped a lot. This means our usual quiet Wednesdays are anything but, and that’s not a bad thing. We’ve got some news today about all the new games on the eShop, as well as new and expired sales listings for the day. There is a lot to see, so let’s go!
tidings
The Partner/Indie World Showcase offered a variety of benefits.
It was an interesting choice to sandwich two slightly smaller versions of the common type of Directs together, and it means we’ve got a lot of announcements to make. We can’t go through everything here, but the highlights include a few shadow drops that we’ll talk about in the new releases section. Capcom Fighting Collection 2, Sui Code I & II remake, Yakuza Kiwami, Tetris Forever, MySims, Worms Armageddon: Anniversary Editionnew atelier and Rune Factory Games, and more. I recommend taking some time to watch the video. Skim if necessary. There are many great games to suit all tastes.
Select new release
Castlevania Dominus Collection ($24.99)
One of the many cool shadow drops in the Direct was the third. castlevania collection. It includes three Nintendo DS games. Dawn of Sorrow, Portrait of Destruction, and church order. It also includes some completely rotten arcade games. haunted castleAnd additionally remade haunted castle By M2 people. Much better. As you’d expect from this developer, this is a treat, with great emulation and just about every feature you could want. Absurd value for money.
Pizza Tower ($19.99)
that Wario Land– An inspired, frenzied platformer rushes to the Switch with this direct shadow drop. Fight your way through the Pizza Tower’s five massive levels to destroy it and save the restaurant. If you miss Wario’s portable adventures, you’ll really want this game. It doesn’t have a strong Wario feel, but if you like platforming, you should definitely check this out too. We’d like to look into this, but we’ll have to wait and see how things progress.
Goat Simulator 3 ($29.99)
The shadow drops continue. Look, today is Wednesday. If it weren’t for this we wouldn’t have anything at all. still, Goat Simulator 3. you know how goat simulator It’s working so far. We can’t confirm how this game will run on the Switch, but we do know that the more powerful console struggles in several places. So proceed with caution. Even if it’s executed badly, I think it might ruin the entire character of the game. Well, I’ll leave the decision up to you. A stupid goat doing stupid things in the open world may or may not make you vomit blood on the switch.
Peglin ($19.99)
I know it’s cliché to talk about armchair quarterbacks and companies leaving money on the proverbial table, but I sincerely think Electronic Arts made a huge mistake by not putting Popcap’s games on the Switch in some form. Maybe a collection? well. They won’t do that. Therefore, we must scratch that itch in other ways. peg I can’t recommend it to any fan. peglin sufficient. This feature has been available on mobile for a while now, and it’s no different here on Switch. It’s basically peg A mix of turn-based RPG roguelites. I’ll review it soon in case you need more details.
Doraemon Dorayaki Shop Story ($20.00)
How can Kairosoft strengthen its now incredibly outdated simulation game formula? Well, one way is to add licensing to the mix. That’s what we have here Doraemon Dorayaki Shop Story, It’s a standard Kairosoft store simulation featuring characters from popular games. doraemon Manga and animated series. A reasonable effort has been made to define the license, and you may find that some characters from the cartoonist’s other works appear as customers. cute.
Pico Park 2 ($8.99)
more Pico Park for Pico Park The fans there. Up to eight players can participate in local or online multiplayer, and this is a game where the more the merrier rule fully applies. Play through multiple puzzle levels that require keen thinking and cooperation to solve. This is a game for people who weren’t satisfied with the first game, but it’s not different enough to attract new people. And that’s okay.
Kamitsubaki City Ensemble ($3.99)
An inexpensive rhythm game with music from Kamitsubaki Studio. Hit the notes, follow the story, and enjoy the music. Not the fanciest meal, but at that price it doesn’t have to be.
Soko Penguin ($4.99)
yes, that is SokobanThis is a penguin-style box pushing puzzle game. Level 100. You know whether you want it or not.
2nd Quarter Humanity ($6.80)
This time with over 300 clever physics-based puzzles. Now, to solve the problem, you need to use your character’s abilities in addition to drawing. Up to four players can have fun with local or online multiplayer.
