Bukayo Saka has returned to Arsenal for further assessment of an injury sustained in England’s loss to Greece on Thursday, his country confirmed on Saturday.
Saka, who started against Greece, limped early in the second half and was replaced by Noni Madueke.
He will now not travel with the squad for Sunday’s match against Finland in Helsinki. Lee Carsley will make the 22-man squad for the game, while Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones will also miss the trip due to personal commitments.
Saka’s injury was a major blow to Arsenal, who lost captain Martin Odegaard to injury during the last international break.
Saka, 23, has taken on the armband in Odegaard’s absence and has scored 10 goals in all competitions for the north London side this season.
Mikel Arteta’s side travel to Bournemouth in the Premier League next Saturday.
