The Tennessee Titans placed veteran cornerback Chidobe Awuzie on injured reserve Friday due to a groin injury.
Awuzie suffered the injury last week in a 30-14 loss to the Green Bay Packers.
Awuzie will miss at least four games. The earliest he could return is November 3 against the New England Patriots.
Awuzie, 29, has four tackles in three starts this season. Overall, he has 373 stops and six interceptions in 89 games (77 starts) with the Dallas Cowboys (2017-20), Cincinnati Bengals (2021-23) and Titans.
Tennessee signed linebacker Luke Gifford from the practice squad to fill a roster opening. Gifford has recorded two tackles in three games this season.
Gifford, 29, has 48 career tackles and one forced fumble in 60 games (one start) with the Cowboys (2019-22) and Titans.
Tennessee (0-3) visits the Miami Dolphins on Monday night.
