Seth Meyers joked on Wednesday that former President and Republican nominee Donald Trump could become more introverted as the 2024 election approaches.
“I didn’t think it was possible, but I think he’s actually doing some soul-searching,” the “Late Night” host said.
Trump admitted this week, not for the first time, that he has a “character flaw” that makes him dislike people who dislike him, and that he gets along better with “strong” people (like the world’s authoritarian leaders) than “weak” ones.
“It’s weird to see him get so close to a breakthrough and then suddenly give up,” Myers said.
The comedian imitated Trump. “I always get along well with people who are strong and tough. Maybe, maybe too tough, maybe too strong, too mean, bad fathers. Fathers who are hard on their kids and make them sad.”
