Leo Faria of WTMG: “The Karate Kid: Street Rumble is just okay. There’s nothing terrible about it, and nothing that really stands out. Even if there’s gameplay floating around, it’s so easy you won’t notice it. It’s chock full of content related to the first three games in the franchise, but it doesn’t quite follow the “go-from-zero” premise of the trilogy, making it feel more like a “what if” fanservice-fest than a true tie-in. Beyond that, as a fighting game, it’s just okay. Sure, I had a lot of fun with it, and I’m sure die-hard fans of the franchise (and ’80s pop culture in general) will enjoy it, but there are far better titles out there.”
