IEM Rio 2024 Prize Pool
Everyone loves a good competitive tournament prize pool. Since Counter-Strike is one of the biggest esports, we are constantly seeing gaming tournaments with huge prize pools every few months.
Well, the IEM Rio 2024 tournament is no exception. The tournament has a whopping $250,000 prize pool, and the winner will qualify for IEM Katowice 2025.
Official details on the tournament prize pool are as follows:
- 1st: 100 thousand dollars
- second: $42,000
- 3~4 days: $20,000
- 5~6 days: $10,000
- Day 7~8: $6,000
- Days 9-12: $5,000
- 13th-16th: $4,000
IEM Rio 2024 Structure and Format
Like other Counter-Strike 2 events, the IEM Rio 2024 tournament has a very standard format and structure.
- Group stage:
- Two double elimination format groups.
- Each group consists of eight teams.
- The opening match is a one-game, one-win system.
- All of the following matches will be best-of-three.
- The top three teams from each group advance. Playoffs.
- The group winners advance to the next round. semifinal
- The runner-up team in the group stage advances Quarterfinals as High seed.
- The third-place team in the group stage will advance to the next round. Quarterfinals as low seed.
- Two double elimination format groups.
- Playoffs:
- Single elimination bracket.
- All matches are best of three.
- Grand Finals:
- All matches are best-of-five.
IEM Rio 2024 Schedule
So when exactly is the IEM Rio 2024 tournament? The entire event will take place in Rio de Janeiro from October 7 to October 13, 2024. The playoffs and grand finals will take place at the Farmasi Arena.
The event is hosted by ESL and sponsored by Intel, Monster Energy and 1xBet.
