Skyport Drone Service We use drone technology to help businesses develop logistics, collect critical data, and improve operational efficiency. We operate in rural delivery, surveying, surveillance, and maritime verticals.
Skyport Infrastructure We play a critical role in the urban air mobility ecosystem. We design, build, own and operate vertical takeoff and landing pads that enable eVTOL operators to take off and land in cities and surrounding areas around the world.

We are hiring a Regulatory Affairs Manager to join our expanding Regulatory team and support our drone services business.
The primary function of this role is to apply for and manage all regulatory applications and pending approvals globally. This role can range from obtaining approvals in Tier 1 (key) target markets, to adding new unmanned drone systems to the Skyports fleet, to supporting the Flight Operations team with expertise in developing new routes and risk assessments, to securing the airspace change process, including managing and interacting with aviation stakeholders who may be impacted by proposed drone operations.
Based in the UK, the role involves domestic and international travel, particularly within the UK and Europe.
Additionally, the key features required of applicants are:
- Obtain operational approval for drone delivery and other types of drone operations from national aviation authorities, including but not limited to the UK, Europe and the US.
- Project manage the airspace change process to secure the necessary amount of airspace for drone operations or to secure access to controlled airspace.
- Manage relationships with other airspace users and aviation stakeholders affected by the operation of Skyports and develop relationships with the regulators themselves.
- Obtain relevant permissions from telecommunications regulatory authorities for use of frequency bands for public use and mobile networks.
- Obtain a permit to transport hazardous materials by drone.
- Responsible for regularly updating operating manuals and other documentation that enable drone operations to be consistent across jurisdictions.
- Manages renewals of existing operating licenses and other regulatory permits.
- Research and thoroughly understand the regulatory environment of your target markets within individual jurisdictions within your geographic region.
- Contribute to influential and evidence-based responses and submissions to regulators.
- We advise companies on all regulatory issues, from proposed new aviation rules to standards development.
- Contributes to commercial contracts, funding and project applications (where applicable).

- Represent Skyports at conferences and events, making presentations particularly to regulators.
- Report to the Safety and Compliance Officer in the UK.
Requirements
A person suitable for this position should have the following experience and qualifications:
- A highly motivated, proactive, self-motivated and team-oriented person who enjoys challenges and has the creativity and resilience to find solutions to overcome them.
- A person who owns and is responsible for regulatory projects and works collaboratively with team members both inside and outside the company.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, lead and manage complex projects and concurrent work streams across multiple business functions, many with tight deadlines and conflicting priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required to maximize the effectiveness of documentation and build strong networks and relationships.
- Ability to influence regulators, legislators, and policy makers.

- Ability to quickly solve complex and technical problems.
- A person who has the ability to solve problems on the spot, that is, to ask questions that have not been asked and find answers to them.
