Baku. Azerbaijan. August 25. American auto startup Nilu27 has unveiled its first development: a mid-engine gasoline supercar, NILU. Trend Report
The founder of the company and the person who gave birth to the idea for it is the famous Russian car designer Alexander Selipanov, who was responsible for the styling of Bugatti, Koenigsegg and Genesis cars at different times.
NILU’s philosophy is simply to minimize electronics. That’s why this supercar is equipped with a 6.5-liter atmospheric V12. This internal combustion engine was specially developed by the New Zealand engineering company Hartley Engines according to Selipanov’s order. The power output is declared to be “over 1000 horsepower.” The engine is combined with a 7-speed manual transmission from the Italian brand CIMA. The rear wheels are in the lead.
The exterior of the Nilu27 is characterized by deliberate carelessness and exposed structural elements. The style is associated with aircraft and military equipment. The monocoque and outer panels are molded from carbon fiber, and the two subframes are assembled from aluminum tubes. The landing diameter of the front wheel is 20 inches, and the rear wheel is 21 inches. The carbon ceramic brakes were developed by Brembo.
Nilu27 plans to produce 69 of these supercars, 54 of which will be road-legal while the remaining 15 will be converted purely for track use.
