Vice President Harris is scheduled to speak about the economy at a campaign event in Raleigh, North Carolina, on Friday.
Harris’ event will be a policy-focused rally discussing her plans to lower costs for middle-class families and fight corporate price hikes.
The vice president said at a rally in Las Vegas on Saturday that if elected president, he would support eliminating the tip tax, a policy initiative that was popular with former President Trump during the campaign. The budget watchdog has estimated that the proposal could cost up to $200 billion over 10 years.
Friday’s trip will be Harris’ eighth visit to North Carolina this year. She canceled a trip to the state last week because of Tropical Storm Debbie.
The event is scheduled to begin at 2:45 p.m. EDT.
