Nicki Minaj recently made a statement on air, and it’s rumored that she made a comment about her half-sister, Ming Luanli (also known as Ming Li).

It’s unclear what part of the interview Nikki was upset about, but she recently gave a succinct response:
“Why would someone talk about the person they love? Why would someone talk publicly about someone they’re so private about? Why would someone do something like that?” the Grammy-nominated rapper is quoted as saying in the reposted video. Information Spot August 5th.
“If someone wanted to interview you, who would you interview? Yourself, right?” Niki, 41, continued. “When someone who is not in your industry or has never been successful in your industry interviews people who are in your industry, that’s always a bad sign. You think talent can be caught with a cold or passed down through genes. Even if it’s blood related, what’s God-given is mine.
She continued to speak.
“You have to find something you’re good at. Being reckless and clowning isn’t in my DNA.”
After she learned of the illegal broadcast, she reposted screenshots of Nikki’s rant with the following caption:
“I love you, sister.”
She later reposted the Nicki Minaj video in question on Instagram, commenting that she still loved her sister.
“I still love her,” she wrote. “I tried to please her as a sister, but I realized that I had to please God first, because only he can judge the gifts he has given me.”
Who is Mingruanli?
Ming Li, who became Niki’s half-sister thanks to her biological father, is following in her sister’s footsteps and making her own way as a rapper.
In March, the 18-year-old star collaborated with Rakeem Love on her first single, “Do It Again,” a heartbreaking song that details a difficult breakup as she effortlessly switches between rapping and singing.
What did Mingli say on the podcast?
The artist, who is clearly inspired by his sister’s rap legacy, spoke out about his strained relationship with the hip-hop legend on June 25. We In Miami Podcast.
“I never called her Nicky. I used her name. It always felt weird for me to call her Nicky, and I always called her Onika,” the teen star reveals at the 42:40 mark in the interview. “But we weren’t close, but we had a great bond. She was always busy. She was busy, and in that way, I did my own thing. But at the end of the day, I still love her, and she still loves me, and I’m still proud of her… I want her to know that I respect and support everything she does in the music industry.”
As her career progressed, Mingli was frequently asked why her older sister hadn’t been more supportive over the years, and revealed that she felt pressured to “impress” her famous older sister.
Despite this, she began to build her own career as an artist, expressing confidence in her ability to independently pursue her dreams, even if she did not achieve the same success as her famous sisters.
“I will try to at least reach the greatness she has, step by step,” she added.
