Wales and Bath winger Regan Grace has undergone surgery on a thigh muscle injury sustained during his international debut earlier this month.
The 27-year-old scored a try in an impressive debut for Wales against Queensland Reds during their summer tour of Australia.
Bass said he had surgery after returning and “began the rehab process.”
Grace’s return to competition is being guided by Bath’s medical team and will be confirmed “at the appropriate time,” according to a statement.
Former St Helens and rugby league winger Grace initially joined Bath for training in February last year while he was recovering from a long-term ruptured Achilles tendon injury.
He signed a contract until the end of the 2024-25 season in April but has yet to make a first-team appearance for the club.
Scotland centre Cameron Redpath also underwent surgery on a long-standing shoulder problem and is currently not taking part in the team’s pre-season training.
“The club will have a better idea of where he will be available for his return in mid-August,” Bath said.
