Steps to utilize Dream11 Safety Shield
Step 1 – Create a Team
First, create your team by going through all the analysis such as pitch reports, player statistics, weather reports and all the aspects that are important to create a perfect and balanced team. If you find it difficult to do such in-depth research, you can get all the detailed previews and fantasy tips for the game in the fantasy lake segment.
Step 2 – Select your Mega Contest
Now that your team is ready, you can go to the Contests section of the Matches menu and select Mega Contest. Most of the time, it will be at the top. Also, please note that the Mega Contest Safety Shield is not available for all matches, but only for selected matches, such as all matches of the Indian men’s and women’s teams, IPL, and other popular leagues. Click on Mega Contest now.
In this example, the prize money for the mega tournament is 1.4 billion rupees.
Step 3 – Enter the Mega Contest
Now click on Sign Up. Check if you already have a sign up fee in your Dream11 wallet.
Step 4 – Check before signing up
After that, a pop-up will appear asking you to confirm your participation in the contest. Review it and click Participate in the Contest. Now, you have successfully participated in the Mega Contest, but the Safety Shield has not been applied to your team yet.
Step 5 – Go to My Contests
To activate the dream11 Safety Shield, go to My Contests. Here you will see the Mega Contests you have participated in and at the top of the menu you will see the Shield your Teams option in green. Click on it.
Step 6 – Choose a Shield
Now you can see the details of this dream11 mega contest insurance. Here are the details of the captain and the second captain, and there are checkboxes in front of both captains. If you want to add safety shield to both captains, just select all. If you want to add safety shield to only one of the captain and the second captain, just select accordingly. You have to pay 3Rs for each shield.
In the example below, I have applied the shield to both the captain and the first officer, so I have to pay 6Rs for it.
Step 7 – Purchase Shield
Now click on Buy Shield for 6 Rupees. That’s it. The shield is activated for the team playing in the Mega Contest!
Cashback criteria
It is important to remember the cashback criteria for Dream11 Safety Shield.
- This feature is only available for selected Mega Contests.
- For Captain Shield – You will get a 20 Rupees discount bonus only if the Captain scores less than 22 points in total i.e. if the team loses 11*2 and fails to enter the winning zone at the end of the match.
- For Vice-Captain’s Shield – A discount bonus of 20 Rupees will be given only if the team’s Vice-Captain scores less than 16.5 (11*1.5) points in total and the team loses and fails to reach the winning zone at the end of the match.
