Shusha, Azerbaijan, July 22. According to Trend reports, Akhmad Ismailov, director general of the Media Development Agency of Azerbaijan (MEDIA), told reporters that the 2nd Shusha Global Media Forum focused on the fight against disinformation.
“Our goal in hosting this forum is to draw the attention of the local and international media community to the steps that can be taken in this area. The meeting of President Ilham Aliyev with the forum participants on the first day of the event reflects the country’s interest in the media sector.
“A panel session held within the forum highlighted the issues related to countering the spread of misinformation and fake news, with domestic and international experts noting that an international platform should be established to combat misinformation,” he added.
The 2nd Shusha Global Media Forum was held on July 20-22 and was attended by 150 foreign guests from 49 countries, including news agencies from 34 countries, 12 international organizations and media agencies, as well as 60 representatives and representatives of the Azerbaijani media.
