Club Press Release
The serious injury to Ciate Tokolahi (ruptured Achilles tendon) during the last game of the season meant that reinforcements were needed at the right-back position to make the most of the upcoming season. Harry Williams, who is out of contract with Montpellier, has joined the Vers et Blanc squad for the 2024-2025 season (with an option for another). At 32, he is one of the most experienced forwards on the European stage, having made over 200 professional appearances and eight Champions Cup seasons for Exeter. An England international, he has worn the XV de la Rose shirt 19 times. He is expected to be present for the team’s resumption on Monday.
Harry Williams (right column): “The section contacted me and I came here because I liked the project. It was a great opportunity to discover another club. I love the stadium, the city and the mountains. I already had the chance to visit Pau with Joe Simmonds. I am looking forward to the start of the season and I am very happy to be joining the section! »
Directed by Sébastien Piqueronies: “To compensate for Siate’s injury, we invested time in identifying the profile that best fit our needs and requirements. Harry is an experienced prop with a title. This is a strong endorsement for our project! »
