As Jamaicans brace for the arrival of Hurricane Beryl, Sheryl Lee Ralph She asks her followers to send her their prayers. Ralph said he had “taken all of our outdoor furniture away” as he encouraged others to follow the island’s curfew, “stay home” and “stay off the roads.”
“I want you to be extra careful with the oil in your lamps,” she added. “And to everyone on the island, remember that Gilbert is three points, and Beryl is four points. Wow. God bless you, and good night.”

Ralph later shared a photo of the fallen tree, explaining that it “fell during Hurricane Beryl” and “nearly missed” his neighbor’s house.
“I thank God, that would have been a disaster! To all those praying for me, keep going!!” she wrote on the post.
