Claire chats with Margarita Chili of the University of Cyprus about vision, navigation and small aerial drones.

Margarita Chli is Professor of Robotic Vision at the University of Cyprus and ETH Zurich and Director of the Vision for Robotics Lab. Her research contributed to the first vision-based autonomous flight of a small drone and the first demonstration of cooperative monocular SLAM for a small drone swarm. She has been an invited keynote speaker at the Davos World Economic Forum, TEDx, ICRA, and was named to Robohub’s 2016 list of “25 Women in Robotics You Need to Know”. In 2023, she was awarded an ERC Consolidator Grant to study advanced robot perception.
