Pokemon: Who is Zinnia?
Zinnia is a Pokemon trainer who only appeared in the Delta episodes of Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire and in Pokemon Masters EX. She is the Lorekeeper of the Draconid race. The Draconids are a group that worships Rayquaza for using the power of meteoroids to save the Hoenn region from the war between Primordial Groudon and Kyogre. As Lorekeeper, Zinnia’s job is to summon Rayquaza when necessary.
Zinnia from the Delta episode of Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.
Zinnia is a main character in the Delta episode of Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. In this post-game story, we discover a meteoroid large enough to destroy the world is heading towards Hoenn. Professor Cozmo and the Devon Corporation want to use Infinity Energy and the Link Cable to warp the meteoroid somewhere else, but Zinnia stops them. She realizes that the meteoroid will originally be sent to Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald’s universe. There’s Infinity Energy, the same energy as Mega Evolution, that can help people move meteoroids away from them where they aren’t.
Zinnia is the one who told Maxie and Archie how to awaken Rayquaza in the hopes that the destruction of Primal Groudon and Kyogre will allow him to return and stop both the Primal Pokémon and the Meteoroids. After the player stops Team Magma or Aqua’s plans and captures the Primal Pokémon, Zinnia collects the Key Stone in the Delta episode to summon Rayquaza atop the Sky Pillar. Although she succeeds, Rayquaza can only Mega Evolve with the power of the player’s meteorite item, prompting her to capture it and use it to destroy the meteoroid.
The player battles Zinnia twice in the Delta episode. Once at the beginning and once after catching Rayquaza.
Zinnia from Pokemon Master EX
Pokemon Masters EX has three sync pair units featuring Zinnia. Her first appearance is as a free unit alongside Rayquaza. Unlockable in the Legendary Adventures story The Dragon That Rules the Sky. Rayquaza can achieve Mega Evolution after obtaining the Power Boost item in Team Aqua’s Stormy Seas villain event. Additionally, you can increase the potential of Genie and Rayquaza to 6-star EX through custom legendary spirits obtained from Team Magma’s Red Hot Rage Villain event. Both villain events rerun occasionally for a limited time.
Zinnia’s second sync pair appearance is with Salamence., the Ace Pokémon from the Delta episode. Players can obtain this 4-star duo by redeeming BP Sync Pair vouchers. Although it can be used permanently, Zinnia looks the same as usual.
Zinnia’s third sync pair is Thievul’s special costume., a Pokémon not used anywhere else. This sync pair was part of ‘Solve the Case!’ Detective Steven’s Rival Costume Event. Zinnia wears a fancy hat and monocle in the vein of Arsène Lupin, the great thief. Unlike the previous two sync pairs featuring Zinnia, her special costume is only occasionally available through limited, non-permanent sync pair scouts.
