ZANGILAN, Azerbaijan, June 24. Zangilan, Gubadli and Jabrayil regions are all seeing interesting new development projects, said Vahid Hajiyev, Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for Jabrayil, Gubadli and Zangilan regions, while speaking at the “Azerbaijan NGO Cooperation Forum”. Zangilan provides trend reports.
He pointed out that Agali Village was built in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
“A total of 11 out of 17 targets have been secured here. 175 households and a total of 871 people have already settled in the village. Construction of Agali-Phase 2, consisting of 300 households, is still in full swing.” emphasized.
Hajiyev also noted the fact that this year Azerbaijan will host COP29, which is fully consistent with the plans being carried out across the country.
“Implementing environmental projects in areas liberated from occupation will be one of Azerbaijan’s important steps in relation to COP29. Zangilan is the only region where four rivers flow through its territory. We will utilize these rivers effectively and “We plan to plant more than 100,000 trees this year alone,” he said.
Officials said efforts being carried out in Jabrayil, Gubadli and Zangilan are ongoing and not limited to the current phase.
“There are currently attractive plans being implemented that are attracting investor interest,” he added.
