People of a certain age will remember the days after an election when the loser would typically accept the results and initially support the new president during what was then called the “honeymoon” phase.
Richard Nixon conceded to John Kennedy in 1960, but he believed the election had been “stolen” by Kennedy operatives in Cook County, Illinois. Al Gore conceded to George W. Bush in the 2000 election. Hillary Clinton acknowledged Russian election interference in 2016 despite claims there was strong evidence of it, while Donald Trump still denies it, which he lost by more than 7 million votes in 2020.
Gone are the days of making concessions “for the good of the country.” Not only is there no honeymoon, but ‘divorce’ happens first.
Blue state ‘resistance’ is reportedly stockpiling abortion pills in preparation for another Trump term.
Claiming that Donald Trump would be a “threat to democracy” if he wins in November, Democrats and the left are seeking ways to oppose all of Trump’s policies, including his plan to deport millions of immigrants. For Democrats, it doesn’t seem to matter whether President Biden’s odds of victory are small or large. They believe that they have a permanent and permanent right to rule, even if the majority votes otherwise. Damn voters.
One might conclude that such actions pose a real threat to democracy.
A New York Times article reveals their strategy, which includes lawsuits to prevent deportation and Democratic governors stockpiling abortion pills. What is the relationship between the Democratic Party and abortion?
For Democrats, it doesn’t seem to matter whether President Biden’s odds of victory are small or large. They believe that they have a permanent and permanent right to rule, even if the majority votes otherwise. Damn voters.
Let me see if I have this right. If Trump wins, he will be a threat to our Constitution, our laws, our environment and everything else. We are a constitutional republic, not a pure democracy, but since Democrats keep using the word, let’s look at the definition. “Government by the people, a form of government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and is exercised directly by the people, or by their elected representatives under a system of free elections.”
Are the Democrats saying that if a majority of Americans vote for Trump, or if a majority of the Electoral College votes for a former president, it’s not a democracy, but if Biden wins, it’s a democracy? That’s a contradiction, right?

This is the arrogance of the left, who believe they have a divine right (if they believe in God) to rule forever, regardless of election results. Yes, we have seen some of the same attitudes shown by Trump supporters during the attack on the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021. But those, many of whom have been arrested and sentenced to prison, are planning lawsuits and other strategies to disrupt a second Biden term.
Are the Democrats saying that if a majority of Americans vote for Trump, or if a majority of the Electoral College votes for a former president, it’s not a democracy, but if Biden wins, it’s a democracy? That’s a contradiction, right?
In the not-too-distant past, the side that lost an election would lick its wounds, study what went wrong, and live to fight another day. Those days are over. Now it is a year-round war. This is bad for the country and emboldens our enemies.
From the Times article: “Trump campaign spokesman Stephen Cheng denounced the effort as a way to prevent the president from executing his legitimate policy agenda.

“It is no surprise that Biden and his allies are working overtime to thwart the will of the American people after they voted to elect President Trump and his America First agenda,” Mr. Cheng said. Their evil actions are a direct threat to democracy.'”
Whether it is pro-Trump or anti-Trump, Cheong’s argument makes sense. An election cannot be legitimate if one’s side wins, and it cannot be fraudulent if the other side wins. Such an attitude is the quickest way to weaken America into a divided nation and a forever divided people.
