The Hyderabad Railway Police along with the Railway Protection Force (RPF) seized 26.864 kg of marijuana from Nampally railway station during a surprise inspection on Sunday. A man and a woman were transporting drugs from Visakhapatnam to Maharashtra. Police said they arrested 50-year-old Karri Ramanamma and 38-year-old Arli Govind.
However, Raju, the source from Odisha, was still at large along with his handler Guddi Bayya from Maharashtra. “The two were transporting drugs from Visakhapatnam to Parli in Maharashtra. They were arrested during a surprise check at Platform 1 of Nampally railway station on Sunday noon,” the official said.
