Roma goalkeeper Mile Svila has posted a special thank you message to the club’s supporters after completing his first season as a starter.
The Serbian shot-stopper shocked fans at the Stadio Olimpico by saving two penalties in the shootout against Feyenoord in February.
Since then, Svilar has continued to lead the team exemplarily, providing crucial saves and ample security in the defense for Roma in both Serie A and Europa League.
As the season ended, Svila made sure to greet the fans and thank them for their support.
In a new post on Instagram, Svila also hinted at his long-term future at the club.
“A very special season has ended with a unique feeling that I have experienced for the first time in my life,” the 25-year-old goalkeeper wrote.
“There were many ups and downs, but in the end we were always united,” he continued.
“I can’t wait for next season to start. Thank you so much Roman, you are special. See you soon.”
