Australia gets their T20 World Cup campaign underway on Thursday when Mitchell Marsh’s side take on Oman at Kensington Oval in Bridgetown.
Oman, who suffered a painful Super Over loss to Namibia earlier this week, are expected to pull off a major upset against the 2021 champions in the Barbados capital.
The two countries have never faced each other on the international stage, with Australian opener Travis Head admitting he knows next to nothing about Oman’s bowling attack.
“We might get a quick look at some of the players at the next level tonight or tomorrow,” Head told reporters this week.
“You’ll get a ton of footage, but personally I’ll just watch a little bit of the preparations and try to get a general idea of who’s who.”
