Marvel Rivals has just announced a closed beta date for the PS5, scheduled for July 2024. The superhero team-based PvP shooter is a fast-paced, free-to-play 6v6 game that’s very similar to the iconic Overwatch, but with a cult following. -Classic Marvel superheroes and villains.
They’ve revealed several superheroes in the past, but they revealed two new iconic characters, Venom and Adam Warlock, via Sony’s State of Play live stream showing the Marvel Rivals closed beta trailer for PS5.
In addition to adding two new characters, they also revealed the TOKYO 2099: Spider-Islands map. This map lets you engage in intense, fast-paced battles with your favorite superheroes and supervillains. They even showed Storm destroying a few structures with her ultimate ability.

Things continue to cook. Even before the addition of Adam Warlock and Venom, there were 18 characters, including all of the most iconic Marvel characters like Iron Man, Spider-Man, Hulk, and Black Panther. It also features iconic X-Men characters like Storm and Magneto.
It will be interesting to see who they can add next to the game. Coincidentally, Deadpool and Wolverine are right around the corner in the same month as the PS5 closed beta, so you can see how I choose who to add next!
