Xbox Game Studios has reportedly signed on for the next game from Rocksteady co-founders Sefton Hill and Jamie Walker.
London-based Hundred Star Games is developing a triple-A single-player action-adventure title based on Unreal Engine 5, according to eXputer.
Microsoft is funding the project, and it is expected to initially be released for Xbox consoles and PC.
Although the studio has yet to be officially announced, in January Hill and Walker were listed as directors of the company on business information website Endole.
Hundred Star also has a list on the Great Place to Work website: “Hundred Star Games is a video game startup based in East London. Our ethos is to build a small team of 100 industry veterans and emerging talents committed to creating cutting-edge gaming experiences that inspire and captivate players around the world.
“With innovation at our core, we are committed to pushing boundaries, embracing diversity, and fostering a vibrant gaming community. Our empowering corporate culture is unique to our industry, encouraging leadership, accountability, team support, vulnerability and connection at all levels.”
Hundred Star Games is currently recruiting through its official website. It has hired several senior developers and director-level former Rocksteady employees, according to LinkedIn profiles discovered by Polygon.
Hill and Walker, who previously worked at Argonaut Games, founded Batman Arkham studio Rocksteady in 2004.
The two announced their departure from Rocksteady in 2022, confirming their plans to “start a new adventure together in gaming.”
