Five Star high school prospect Julian Lewis has announced he will decommit from USC and join Coach Prime in Boulder Colorado.
Coach Prime and the Colorado Buffaloes are officially eligible for a college football bowl game to conclude the season. Amazingly, if they win, they will advance to the College Football Playoffs where they will compete for a national championship. When Deion Sanders took over at Colorado, he promised longtime fan Peggy that he would coach her to a bowl game, and he kept his promise.
Even with a few weeks left in the season, Sanders has some good news for the future. Five-star prospect Julian Lewis of Carrollton, Ga., joined “The Pat McAfee Show” and opened up about his future as a college quarterback. Lewis was originally committed to Lincoln Riley and the USC Trojans.
After retiring from the USC specialist, he claimed he could take his talents to Colorado or the Georgia Bulldogs. But today, Lewis endorsed and committed to Coach Prime and the Buffs.
“Coach Prime always says the best players are going to play and I want to go in and compete. I wouldn’t really enjoy sitting on the bench and I wanted to go somewhere where I would have a chance to play.” Lewis told McAfee.
The post-Shedeur era under Coach Prime found a suitable replacement at the quarterback position. Despite rumors that Prime is headed to the NFL, the addition of Lewis is another reason to stay in Boulder.
If the Buffaloes make the College Football Playoff, Prime’s transition will be nearly complete in less than two years.
Colorado has only won one game in 2022, but they are now the hottest team in college sports and where to go moving forward.
