A few days ago, we introduced five young members of Black Hollywood who are proving their formidable force in front of the camera. Well, there are five more faces to add to the list! Check out our list of five young black Hollywood stars to watch in 2025. Because they are definitely ready to take their place! Did we mention that all five of these young actors were also nominated for the 56th Annual NAACP Awards?
Caleb Elijah
Recognized for outstanding roles in Cross (2024), True Story (2021), and the anticipated series Reverso (2025), Caleb Elijah is quickly emerging as a prominent figure in the entertainment industry. With his powerful performances and dynamic range, Elijah has captured the attention of critics and audiences alike, and it doesn’t look like his star will be settling down anytime soon.
Gracine Hollingsworth
Graceyn Hollingsworth made a name for herself with her 2020 animated series debut. Pants corner. This series was created to help Graceyn and her siblings address the challenges of finding diverse content while homeschooling. Graceyn’s parents, Dr. Javoris Hollingsworth, a chemistry professor, and Dr. Arlene Gordon-Hollingsworth, a licensed clinical psychologist, decided to take on the challenge and fill the gap: Gracie Corner. And now, both Gracie Corner Graceyn Hollingsworth is a pseudonym.
Leah Saba Jeffries
Leah Sava Jeffries is racking up more and more accomplishments that even season veterans in the industry would envy. Jeffries, who has several projects in the works, is perhaps best known for her role as Annabeth in the recent film. disney series, Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Her dynamic performance not only showcased her immense talent, but also cemented her position as one of the most promising rising stars in the entertainment industry. And if you haven’t heard it yet, Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2 is in the works and will be streaming soon!
Melody Heard
We first got a glimpse of Melody Hurd a few years ago when she and her sister Lyric Hurd went viral dancing to Zay Hilfigerrr and Zayion Mcall’s hit “Juju on That Beat.” Since then, Melody has appeared on the big and small screen alongside some of Black Hollywood’s A-listers. Currently appearing Amazon Prime Video hit series, cross, Melody is definitely positioning herself as someone you’ll want to add to your watchlist!
TJ Mixon
TJ Mixson, whose real name is Thaddeus J. Mixson, is taking Hollywood by storm with outstanding roles in films such as: Creed III (2023), Candy Cane Lane (2023) and south of heaven (2021). Whether delivering powerful dramatic lines or injecting a little holiday spirit into her roles, Mixson consistently captivates viewers with her authentic presence and dedication to her craft. TJ Mixson is undoubtedly an actor to watch as he continues to make his mark in the industry.
