Today, four years have passed since the Myanmar Military Administration overturned the democraticly elected government in Myanmar, creating one of the biggest crisis in the Indo-Pacific Ocean. Since the coup, Myanmar has been in military reign for many rights, democratic aspirations, and thousands of freedoms and their lives.
We need to immediately eliminate violence in the Myanmar military regime, ensure a safe humanitarian approach without being disturbed throughout the country, and all parties will prioritize the protection of civilians and complete the international humanitarian law and international human rights law completely. It is urged to.
As of 2025, humanitarian demands have increased 25 times since the coup. More than one -third of the population, 19.9 million people need humanitarian support to meet the current basic needs. About 15 million people need food support, and the cases of preventive diseases are increasing.
Increasing demand and continuous conflicts have been replaced by up to 3.5 million internally. This increased almost millions of people last year. More people must run away from the border of Myanmar. The increase in ultra -national crime, including drug production and human trafficking, fraud and human trafficking, harms Myanmar people and affects neighboring countries, maintaining instability in a wider area.
The current trajectory is not sustainable in Myanmar or region. Now is the time when the Myanmar military regime changes the course immediately. We strongly urge the Myanmar military regime to harm civilian and civilian infrastructure, release all political prisoners, and participate in true conversations with all stakeholders. These are the first steps for a peaceful and democratic transition that reflects the will of the Myanmar people.
We repeat our support for the central role of five -point consensus, including the special envoy of ASEAN in solving the Myanmar and the resulting refugee crisis. We strongly welcome cooperation between ASEAN and UN special envoys. We demand that the international community will continue to support the implementation of the UN Security Council resolution 2669 (2022). We emphasize the necessity of responsibility for all cruelty committed in Myanmar, protect human rights, and violations and abuse should be prevented.
We will continue to solidify with the Myanmar people and support their vision for the future of inclusive, peaceful and prosperous.
