No. 7 our lady (-110) vs. 2nd place Georgia (-1, -110)
Allstate Sugar Bowl
Jan 2:04 PM ET, ESPN
O/U: 45.5
What you need to know: The Fighting Irish have won 11 straight games, including a dominant 27-17 win over Indiana in the first round of the CFP, and were outscored 27-3 in the fourth quarter. Georgia last played on Dec. 7, when it defeated Texas in the SEC Championship. The common opponent for both teams is Georgia Tech. The Irish beat the Yellow Jackets 31-13 on Oct. 19, and the Bulldogs beat GT 44-42 in eight overtimes on Nov. 29. But the key storyline (and only storyline) leading up to this game is Georgia’s starting quarterback. Carson Beck will miss the CFP after suffering an elbow injury in the Dec. 7 game against the Longhorns. Enter sophomore Gunner Stockton, who has 206 passing yards and one interception on the season. Still, the Bulldogs were a bit of a favorite despite the shake-up at QB.
