The last time we saw a Major League Baseball game, the Los Angeles Dodgers were celebrating their World Series win at Yankee Stadium. If you’re a trivia fan like me, you’ve probably noticed something odd about history. The Dodgers have now won championships in three different versions of Yankee Stadium: the original (1955), the renovated original (1981), and the current one. 1 (2024).
But how many times have the Dodgers won on their home field? Only once, in 1963 – against the Yankees, of course.
These kinds of connections are everywhere in this wonderfully wacky sport. It’s best to keep this in mind if you want to score well on the annual holiday Trivia Extravaganza. Hello baseball friends, good luck with the 50 Great Questions of 2024. You may need it.
