It’s almost time to kick off your summer playlist, but we at CelebMix have a sneaking feeling that some of your favorite songs this season might not be out yet.
There’s a lot of hype among music lovers across the internet, with some of this year’s hottest artists currently teasing new tracks online using compelling TikTok clips.
CelebMix has selected 12 songs we can’t wait to release in the coming weeks and months.
Chapel Roane – ‘The Subway’
The world is currently crazy about Chappell Roan, and with the fun-loving pop star’s quirky lyrics and infectious hits, it’s easy to see why. The singer set the internet on fire by debuting a new song called ‘Subway’ at the Gov Ball last weekend. A more laid-back song than ‘Good Luck Babe’, this single sounds like a breezy summer hit, and we need it right now.
Tyde Levi – unknown
The internet got a little heated when what appears to be a new track was played at the end of Troye Sivan’s Berlin show on Tuesday night. Those with keen ears will have noticed that the vocals actually belong to Australian brother Tyde. The 24-year-old is an artist in his own right, with a more upbeat sound than his brother, and his upcoming single sounds like he could be the top singer of his dreams. Tyde confirmed online that the song will be released on June 21st.
Alessi Rose – ‘Crush’
A highlight of her live set at St Pancras Old Church and while supporting Fletcher at the Eventim Apollo, CelebMix labeled Alessi Rose ‘criminal’ for keeping ‘Crush’ in her safe. Thankfully, there’s no need to get the authorities involved, as the rising star is set to release a single along with her debut EP on July 3. The tongue-in-cheek TikTok teaser for the single has fans choking up a bit.
Leah Kate – ‘What Girls Do’
Leah Kate is quickly gaining fame with her cutthroat pop hits. Leaving after headlining EU tour super over As of last year, she hasn’t yet released any new music for 2024, but with her ‘What Girls Do’ promotion on TikTok, that looks like that’s about to change. From what we’ve heard so far, it’s an anthem of self-empowerment that comes with a healthy attitude.
Henry Moody – ‘Bad Feelings’
Henry Moodie, the king of Gen Z’s emotional sucker punches, clearly has the secret to a viral hit. He called ‘Bad Emotions’ the most difficult song he’s ever written, and the track’s teaser hints at another painstaking effort with a huge chorus. It came out on June 21st.
Dorian Electra – ‘WE INVENTED LOVE (feat. FROST CHILDREN)’
Debuting with a riveting Primavera Sound set, Dorian Electra gets his hands on a monster on ‘WE INVENTED LOVE’ with FROST CHILDREN. The track’s radio-ready electropop verse leads into a huge Skrillex-style drop in the chorus. We are ready when you are ready, Dorian.
CATTY – ‘I wanted to give you hell’
Now it seems like everything CATTY touches turns to gold. Supporting Beth McCarthy on tour and preparing for her landmark Oslo-Hackney debut, there was a feeling the Welsh star was riding the crest of a wave. Her next release is ‘I Wish I Give You Hell’ on June 14th, which sounds like a surprisingly menacing follow-up to ‘Healing Out of Spite’.
Snow Ella – ‘Sugarcoated’
Nieve Ella has revealed her anxiety over her upcoming single ‘Sugarcoated’. There’s a feeling that this single, which exposes the industry’s imposter syndrome, could be one of her most special releases to date. A feature of her 21-year-old’s live sets, the track is already a firm fan favorite.
montykeates – ‘easy’
There’s been a lot of anticipation surrounding montykeates’ first trio of releases, but it looks like the TikTok star’s sound will be taken up a notch with his next single. He’s now ‘ready to release’ his upcoming single ‘Easy’, although there’s no date yet. The bouncy snippets shared online certainly hint at the artist finding his own sound and finding a single that will resonate loudly.
Mabel – ‘Female Intuition’
As teased during her festival set this summer, Mabel samples Aaliyah’s ‘More Than A Woman’ from the unreleased ‘Facebook Intuition’. “I don’t think you’re ready yet,” the pop star teases in the track, which is scheduled to be part of her hotly anticipated third studio album.
lozeak – ‘ALPHA’
Logiark, which confirmed its release on June 26, follows the brilliant ‘Moist’ with ‘ALPHA’. From what we’ve heard so far, it looks like the upcoming single will see the star picking up where he left off, with easily quotable lyrics and a club-ready beat. That sounds hot.
Nina Nesbitt – ‘I’m Coming Home’
Nina Nesbitt is set to give fans the latest taste of her upcoming album with ‘I’m Coming Home’ on June 14th. An ode to her upbringing in Scotland, the single sees the songwriter dreaming big as a child and then returning home decades later. Snippets Online sounds like a cross between Sam Fender and Taylor Swift. It’s a perfect combination.
